Curry Bun Radio is an English-language, not-for-profit Internet radio station that focuses on Japanese independent music and the promotion of Japanese artists to Western countries, incorporating some Western cultural content.
Curry Bun Radio provides a free platform for artists to increase their international presence and for the world, a gateway to discover the diversity of Japanese music. We achieve this by showcasing various styles and genres of Japanese music, partnering with a wide range of music labels and media outlets.

Join our board of Directors
Join CBR’s board to support Japanese language artists, promote diversity in Japanese music, and expand its global reach. We showcase various genres, partner with labels and media outlets. Passion for Japanese culture and music is a must. Diverse perspectives welcomed. Board membership is decided by existing members, considering outside recommendations. Commitment: 1-5 years, minimum 10 virtual meetings/year, 5-hour yearly commitment. Attendance and hour requirements apply. Be part of the CBR journey!

Yurie Hoyoyon - Voice of Nekochan
Meet Yurie Hoyoyon, the talented voice behind our beloved mascot Nekochan! Living in British Columbia, Canada, Yurie is a well-known Japanese voice actor with an impressive body of work that can be heard internationally. You may recognize her voice from popular titles such as “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang” as Guinevere, “Rise of Empires: Ice and Fire” as Isabela, and “Baby Bus kids learning” and “Kid Diana show” among others.
But that’s not all – Yurie is also a skilled artist and illustrator with a passion for creating beautiful and engaging content. In addition to her voice acting work, she showcases her artistic talents through various platforms such as YouTube, Soundcloud, Instagram, and Etsy.
